On Saturday, September 17, the Malden Stokelan Drive Christian Church held their sixth annual Free to Run race. The race is held each year in memory of Debra Algood with the proceeds going to worthy causes. This year, the money will go to an area food bank.

A total of 37 participants showed up to run in the popular event. Entrants could choose to take part in either a one mile run/walk, a 5K (3.1) mile run, or a 10K (6.2 mile) race. Participants were subdivided by sex and age.

Since the mile run/walk was considered a fun run, finish places were not recorded.
