On Monday, September 19, Malden hosted Senath in the annual Pink Out games to raise awareness of cancer and to honor those who have fought or are fighting the disease. This year's theme was "Block Out Cancer". The Malden team wore pink t-shirts commemorating that.

Malden coach Brittany Crane explained, "This was an event to raise awareness and honor our local heroes, whether they were a fighter or are a survivor. The team brought in pictures of loved ones who have battled or are battling cancer, and we made a display in the lobby to honor them. We also made special announcements before the game of who we were playing for. For example: Jada Criglar announced she was playing for her aunt Courtney who is fighter breast cancer. Her aunt was present when Jada pointed her out in the stands."
