Tri-County Conference baseball awards released

The 2017 Tri-County Conference all-conference baseball awards have been released.

Cooter junior Dawson Treat has been selected as the Tri-County Conference Player of the Year.

Cooter coach David Mathis has been selected as the Tri-County Conference Coach of the Year. Cooter finished 18-1 and won the Tri-County Conference regular season championship and tournament title under Mathis.

Holcomb senior Matthew Finley, Cooter junior Christian Gunnels, Holcomb senior Logan Acup, Cooter junior Zach Pendergrass, Gideon with Risco junior Nate Burnett, Gideon with Risco junior E.J. Meyers, Southland junior Ruben Marroquin and Cooter sophomore Jacob Watkins were selected first-team all-conference.

Cooter senior Dylan Smelley, Holcomb freshman Eli Bader, Delta C-7 junior Justice Taylor, Cooter sophomore Lane McLevain, Gideon with Risco senior Morgan Ludwig, Cooter senior Dalton Barron, Delta C-7 sophomore Thomas Watson, Gideon with Risco sophomore Dalton Hayes and Southland junior Jose Andrade were selected second-team all-conference.

Cooter freshman Chris Crowder, Cooter freshman Preston Hatch, Cooter freshman Layton Robinson, Delta C-7 junior Billy Jones and Gideon with Risco senior Ross Lindsey were selected honorable mention all-conference.
